Hey there, Connectors! Welcome to the weekend!
I’m taking it mostly easy this weekend ahead of a busy few weeks. I have 6 or 7 shows lined up for the rest of the month, which is a lot! I’m excited for them all. I’m gonna get things started on Monday with a Poppy show. It’ll be in a bigger venue than the last time I saw her, but I love that place a lot more than the previous one.
I’ve also got Bloc Party, Goldfinger, Weird Al, a wrestling show and Ariana Grande coming up. Plus maybe more stuff at the big comedy festival. I’m not sure about that yet. Should be a fun few weeks!
Before we begin, we have a great little community on Discord, where we chat about NYT Connections, the rest of the NYT games and all kinds of other stuff. Everyone who has joined has been lovely. It’s a fun hangout spot, and you’re more than welcome to join us.
Discord is also the best way to give me any feedback about the column, especially on the rare (or not-so-rare) occasions that I mess something up. I don’t look at Twitter much.
Today’s NYT Connections hints and answers for Saturday, July 11 are coming right up.

This is your final warning!
Today’s Connections answers are...
🟨 Yellow group — circus equipment (CANNON, STILTS, TRAPEZE, UNICYCLE)
🟩 Green group — undisturbed, as water (CALM, FLAT, GLASSY, STILL)
🟦 Blue group — Toy Story characters (BO PEEP, JESSIE, SLINKY, WOODY)
🟪 Purple group — double letters appearing in that letter's alphabetical position (AARDVARK, BOCCE, EBBING, TWIDDLE)
There was no world in which I wasn't going for the Toy Story characters immediately. I didn't care if it was going to be a red herring. However, they were thankfully the blues. (I still need to go see Toy Story 5!)
The water words were next. STILL and FLAT got me through there.
I thought the purples were just going to be words with double letters, but sure. Why not? That left the yellows for win number 496 on my current run.
How did you get on this time? Here's my grid:

P.S. I got this song stuck in my head when I used “disco” as a guess in a recent Wordle. "D.I.S.C.O." by Ottawan is a fast-paced doom metal track.
I’m just kidding. You know what genre it’s in. And it’s catchy as heck:
Have a great day! Stay hydrated! Be kind to yourself and each other! Call someone you love!
