NYT Connections hints and answers for Saturday, October 4

Hey there, Connectors! Welcome to the weekend!

As I write this, I’m pretty darn tired. It’s been a long week and I could use some sleep. Like many people, I get more forgetful the more tired I am. And I made an annoying mistake because of that.

I order a weekly meal box from a delivery service because I don’t enjoy cooking at all. I wish I did, and I’ve tried to enjoy it. It soaks up a frustratingly huge chunk of my time, because I’m horribly inefficient in the kitchen. So a meal box it is.

Only this week, I forgot to select my preferred meal options before the deadline. It’s not the first time I’ve made this mistake, and it will hopefully be the last. But now I’ve got a bunch of meals coming on Monday that aren’t suited to my palette.

Don’t make silly mistakes like this, folks. Get enough sleep!

Sleep deprivation is a scary thing, right? Cool, just want to make sure I’m still on theme for October.

DARN had me scratching my chin for a moment as it's both an exclamation (to go with RATS and BLAST) and a word linked to repairing clothes. I figured it would be the latter, though, and that turned out to be the yellow group.

The blues were next. I thought those were easy enough after TSAR opened up that pathway in my brain. After that, I got the purples, leaving the greens for my 218th win in a row. Yaaay:
