What's your passion?
That's a big question, but you don't need to have the answer right now.
From the outset, I wanted Pastimes to be a community and for everything I or anyone else writes here to be the jumping-off point for a conversation. I exactly didn’t do that with the “life advice” piece I wrote last week, because I forgot to ask a question I had meant to.
So… what’s your passion?
You don’t need to know the answer right now. In fact, there’s a lot of joy and satisfaction in exploring different ideas, activities, interests and, well, pastimes, to figure out what your passion might be. As I mentioned last time, I quite haven’t figured out my passion yet, and that’s okay. Discovering that is part of our journey along the mortal plain.
At least for this exercise, don’t let your family be your passion. They’re called loved ones for a reason, but your passion should be something you do for yourself. It can be your job or something you pursue with no intention of making money from it.
So, let’s talk about it in the comments or the #pastimes channel on Discord or both (hitting the reply button and emailing me is totally fine too!). I’d love to know what your passion is, or how you’re hoping to find it.
Your pal,
Kris xoxo
P.S. My passion is definitely not bad stock images, like the one I used at the top of the web version of this post. I needed something. Please don’t make fun of me for it!
P.P.S. To say thanks to you for reading (and hopefully sharing) here’s a funky song I’ve had on my list to recommend for a while and keep meaning to use:
Have a great day! Stay hydrated! Be kind to yourself and others! Call someone you love!
